How To Win Thriends
SETTING YOUR GOAL
1️⃣ Select one goal to achieve [PRIORITY]
Key points:
- Only prioritise one goal.
- Too many goals at once (AKA The Overhaul Approach) = often leads to failure.
- The goal:
- should not be too easy — an easy goal doesn't engage the necessary brain structures to sustain motivation and effort.
- should be challenging — pushing through the challenge triggers neuroplasticity and helps your brain acclimate.
- must be one you deeply desire to accomplish — don’t get too caught up in whether it’s achievable.
- must be specific and measurable — these two elements are essential for successful goal achievement based on scientific literature spanning over a hundred years.
- Write down all goals and choose the most important based on the above criteria.
Example:
- 25 paying students into my online course.

2️⃣ Define specific actions you'll take to achieve your goal [SPECIFICITY]
Key points:
- It's vital to define a goal with a lot of specificity, mainly focusing on verbs (actions).
- This increases the probability of achieving the goal and maintains motivation during its pursuit.
Example:
- I will create content, do warm outreach and conduct onboarding calls.
